Brief history of your nation: Naiss has a long history. The Medianian Kingdom was the first country of united tribes that were lead by the Naissians. After the Slavs came to Balkan, Naissians merged with them and were often considered Slavs themselves. In 1388 Naissians established the Principality of Naissus but were quickly conquered by Ottoman Turks. A couple of centuries later, in 1804, they revolted in unity with the Serbian people and they gained autonomy under the new Kingdom of Naissus. In 20th century they became a part of Yugoslavia and became the most prosperous country in the region. In the 1990, Yugoslavia was one the verge of a civil war. Naissian hero of Serbian descent, Nikola, seized the control of the country after a coup d'état and he formed the Republic of Naiss.
Brief explanation of your nation's laws: Naiss is a conservative country but has some very liberal laws. That's the result of there being two consuls, one a liberal and the other a conservative. Gun ownership is permitted with a special licence, drugs are legal but controlled by the Naiss Public Health Association(NPHA). Gay marriage, abortion and euthanasia are all legal as Naiss is a secular state.
